What do you think are the outward evidences that someone is filled with the Holy Spirit?
Sometimes you will hear people say things like,
"He was really in the Spirit"
"She has the power of the Spirit"
"He got the Spirit"
"She's in the Spirit"
We've talked before about the fruit of the Holy Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22-23:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
But do you think there are other outward evidences of someone being filled with the Holy Spirit?
Can you tell whether a church is praising God in the Spirit?
Can you tell whether a pastor is teaching in the Spirit?
Can you tell whether the Spirit is present in a church service?
Can you tell whether an individual is praying or ministering in the Spirit?
Send your thoughts to me at pastorbaron@cfl.rr.com and I'll let our devotion readers know what you think. Then maybe we can have some further discussion on this important topic.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Act 1:8)
Have a great day and a great week!
Yours in Him,
Pastor B.
