Are You Ready?

On your mark, get ready, get set, Go!

On your mark. Position yourself in Christ. Anything other than trusting fully and only in the work of Jesus Christ will disqualify you for the spiritual race before us.

Get ready. Get your mind firmly on the things of Christ. Your attitude determines your altitude. You must bring your mind into subjection to the things of God before having any hope of bringing you body into subjection to God.

Get set. Set your body firmly in line with God's Word. Deny your flesh and the cravings which it bombards you with, and determine to run this race for the glory of God.

Go! Go, go, go!!!! Go proclaiming Christ as Lord and Savior of a sinful and lost world. Go praising God in all circumstances. Go praying for and with others, blessing them in the name of Jesus. Go proving the love of Christ as you put others before yourself in your daily life. Go providing for your church family generously, so that your pastor is provided for, and the facility you use as home base is provided for.

YOU WILL WIN THIS RACE!
You are surrounded by such a cloud of witnesses.

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(Heb 12:1-2)
