Are you Cracked and Willing?

Sometimes we lose sight of how special we are to God, and begin to think of ourselves as old cracked flower pots that though kept around, really don't serve any useful purpose. It is in these times that we need to remind ourselves that God knows our every weakness, that God VALUES US, and that God USES US IN SPITE OF OURSELVES!

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— (2Co 4:7-9)

As hard as it is for us to accept sometimes, God is not looking for perfect pots. God is looking for willing pots. God is actually glorified when He takes imperfect not-so-beautiful pots such as us, and does beautiful things.

So it's not so much your condition, as your position. Are you IN CHRIST?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
(Eph 1:3-7)

In Christ we have every spiritual blessing. In Christ we are the chosen of God. In Christ we are loved and accepted. In Christ we are clean and forgiven. Cracks and all.

So are you willing to be used of God to display His glory as He does beautiful things with you?

Yours in Him,
Pastor B.
