Refining Fire

The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the LORD tests the hearts. (Pro 17:3)

He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness. (Mal 3:3)

God puts us through the fire that our hearts might be tested, proven, and purified.

who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. (Tit 2:14)

the process of purification requires fire, and we must be willing to go through the purifying fire, as it purges our impurities.

Many of us say that we are willing to serve the Lord, but are we willing to have Him put us through the purifying fire that we may offer to the Lord an offering of righteousness?

May our desire be to offer Him the best vessel we can be, and may we be willing to accept God's purifying fire in our lives, knowing that it will be to His glory.
